Overview (plot)
An expedition was sent from England to see if what Professor Challenger said is true ,nobody believes him except Mr.Malone who Challenger showed proof to, but the proof when presented by Challenger was said to be faked .The expedition composes of Mr.Malone a pressman, Challenger ,Lord John and professor Summerlee . The point challenger wants to make is that in a certain point in south America there are dinosaurs who still claw at the earth.
Characters
Heroes
Ed Malone is a reporter for the Daily Gazette he is in love with Gladys and wants her to be proud of having him as a husband. He proves to be, as most of the people in the expedition, very useful.
Dr.Challenger is obnoxious. He thinks everybody else are idiots , he harbors a special hate for the press and more that one newspaper man descended the stairs in a Catherine wheel with Mr.Challenger, he is the number one most hated person in London.
Dr.Summerlee is against the idea Challenger proposes and he does so in sneers, he has a deep hate for the professor and in the trip they quarrelled most of the time.
Lord john Roxton is a very rich man, he's a bachelor, has a reputation as a sportsman and went to the amazon doing many brave deeds,he stopped a group which enslaved people and killed their king, in a river(The king was in a river, not John) John brings all the weapons and ammunition on their expedition.
Secondary characters
Gambez is the slave king's brother took revenge upon John Roxton by trapping them on the plateau.
Gladys is Ed Malone's girlfriend, she was his impetus to join the expedition
The Indians on the plateau are one of the two human-like species on the plateau, their prince was saved by Ed Malone and John Roxton while the two friends were saving the professors from the Ape-men.The Indians became the little group's only ally on the plateau.
Antagonists
The Ape-men are the second human-like species on the plateau,they are hostile to the expedition but are exterminated at the end of the book.

The amazon rain forest, south America, southern hemisphere, western hemisphere.

It was written with the adventure being unrolled, revealed with each word read.
